How do I update a published resource?

Occasionally, an author may wish to update a resource that is already published. You can update a published resource as follows:

  1. Select 'My Content' from the 'Control Panel' to list all of the resources you have created.
  2. Select the published resource you wish to update. Note: News items cannot be updated after publication.
  3. Click the 'Workflow' tab located in the top right hand corner of the page.
  4. Change the status to 'New Revision'.
  5. You may add a comment to outline the changes you intend to make. This comment will be recorded in your 'Workflow' history, but will not be sent to Sparx with your submission.
  6. Click the submit button to view your current document.
  7. To start making changes, select the 'Edit' tab. Any changes you make will not affect the currently published resource until submitted and approved by Sparx Systems.
  8. To preview your changes, click the Preview button.
  9. When you are satisfied with your changes, set the status to 'Ready For Review'.
  10. You may add a comment to describe the changes made. This comment will be sent to Sparx Systems for consideration with your updated submission.
  11. Click the Save button to submit your updated resources. You will now see three tabs labeled 'View Current', 'View Pending' and 'Workflow'.
  12. The published resource will remain on the website as-is, until your changes are approved and published by Sparx Systems. Most documents are reviewed within 2 business days.
