MODELLING AN END-TO-END FRAMEWORK WITH ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT 14
A lot of customers at our seminars and workshops on BPMN, enterprise architecture, business analysis and requirements gathering, have 1 thing in common: their company uses the Enterprise Architect® version 12 , 13 or 14 tool from SparxSystems®. They use it mainly for implementing and testing software, and only occasionally for analysing and modelling business processes and requirements.
Enterprise Architect from SparxSystems offers you a complete environment that supports you in every phase of a project, from requirements gathering to the implementation and testing of software. Hence, Enterprise Architect offers something for every role in a project and the interaction between them, but also allows the streamlining, consistency and communication of deliverables, which can be improved in many companies.
During this workshop, we want to focus on the lesser known applications of Enterprise Architect, such as enterprise architecture modelling (with ArchiMate), requirements analysis and documentation, as well as business analysis, process modelling, simulation of business processes, software project management, data modelling, etc. The use of this tool for software implementation is very well known, so this will get less attention.
Your course leader and moderator is Christian Gijsels of GIJSELSDOTCOM. He has a lot of experience in business analysis, requirements management and modelling business processes with Enterprise Architect, and he uses this and other tools almost every day. Hence, you get a very practical and pragmatic view during this intensive, interactive and inspiring workshop, which is also available in-company.

SysML with Enterprise Architect training sessions available in French
I ran a number of times a 3 day training course for a client in the automotive industry on SysML with Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect tool to model complex systems. This training course in french involved two instructors: Pascal Roques, a SysML and Systems Engineering expert in France, and myself on modelling and Sparx Enterprise Architect.
This training course combines the theory with the SysML modelling language brought by Pascal expertise alongside Enteprise Architect as a SysML modelling tool, brought by Viseo. Enterprise Architect tool is covered throughout the 3 days course to understand its environment, its SysML integration and features, and putting it all in practice via exercises.
Following several successful "intra company" training sessions, Pascal and myself have decided to run "inter-company" training sessions throughout France, starting 2017. The first SysML + Enterprise Architect training session will take place in Grenoble in April (4 to 6th April).
Full details in French are available from this link. Contact me on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for any further information.

European Enterprise Architect User Group 2015 in Zürich, March, 10th 2015
European Enterprise Architect User Group 2015 in Zürich, March, 10th 2015
After a series of highly successful German Enterprise Architect User Community events in previous years, it is my great pleasure now to be able to announce a first time event in Zurich. Thanks to the support of UBS AG, the European Enterprise Architect User Group event will be held in Switzrland at the company's headquarters in Zurich. The event will include a series of lectures and a permanently-staffed Experts Corner, and during coffee breaks and lunch there will be plenty of time for more in-depth conversations with users and lecturers alike.
The lectures will be held alternately in English or German. In his keynote speech, David Würth, Enterprise Architect Specialist at UBS, explores the standardization activities and use of Enterprise Architect, and shares some of his enterprise-wide initiatives. Phil Chudley, TOGAF and BPMN specialist since their very beginnings, will illuminate us on the topic "Enterprise Architecture" and associated technologies...and of course you won’t want to miss presentations by Swisscom and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
Save the date: Tuesday, March 10th, 2015, from 9.00 till 17.00 at UBS AG in Zurich
